Get Out Of Your Head By Jennie Allen
I found this book very helpful for stopping overthinking and overreacting. She makes the topics very relatable, and you can tell she experienced these things firsthand. This taught me to get control of my thoughts.
Winning The War In Your Mind By Craig Groeschel
I like this book because it discusses how the brain works and how you can rewire it and change your thinking patterns. It makes the science of the brain easy to understand and relates it to Biblical principles for renewing your mind.
Battlefield Of The Mind By Joyce Meyer
I have read this book a few times, and I like to consider it the OG faith-based mental health book. Joyce Meyer always teaches you to focus on the good, and this book is no different. She teaches and reminds us that negative thinking is an attack of the enemy and offers strategies to stop and reframe our thoughts.
The Garden Within By Dr. Anita Phillips
This book helped me even more understand that my emotions are not a bad thing to suppress. As a feeler, I do have a lot of emotions, and I have to admit that there have been times when I’ve prayed that I didn’t feel so much. This book teaches you to accept your emotions as a part of who you are and gives strategies for working with them rather than suppressing them.
I hope you find these books helpful. Let me know if you’ve read any of them.
